Thanksgiving vacation just flew by; one day I was home and the next I was back on campus! None the less it was a very pleasant visit. I got to spend time with my grandparents, whom I hadn't seen since graduation. Tried to spend as much time with them as possible but it was hard dividing time with parents, siblings, friends and grandparents! We were able to catch up on the latest happenings in the assistance league and grandpa was able to teach me everything I needed to learn about football! Ask away I'm a pro! Grandma gave me a lot of "advice" regarding boys, college, Mexico and much more! Thankgiving dinner was amazing just like usual. My mom and grandma are the best cooks I know!!! We had many laughs throughout our time together which was much needed. I needed to escape the college life for a while, so Thanksgiving was a blessing with just that! During this break was Black Friday and anyone who knows me, knows I love to shop!! Grandma, Mom and I went out at 8 o'clock Thursday nite, dropped grandma back off at home around 11:30 and Mom and I continued our adventures! It was so much fun, we both act like kids when we are together and I'm the embarrassing younger one. Between me walking down the aisles of Walmart with an oversized candy cane, tripping up mom or playing peek-a-boo in the clothing racks at Children's Place or snorting in public because I'm laughing so hard, it was a ball! We returned home around 1:30 AM and I was back out at 8 o'clock with my best friend! Only survived that day with coffee!!!! I will say we did get some good deals but it's more about the experience not the goods we purchased! After I recovered from this day I grabbed even more coffe with some of my closest girlfriends and sat outside the coffee shop for almost 5 hours just talking We were interupted by a phone call from my dad asking if I was heading home because the game was on! During Thankgiving break U of A played our biggest competitors ASU. YUCK! This was one of the biggest games of the year, besides the bowl game we are playing in (Foster Farmers Bowl in Santa Clara, California, December 27th @ 5:30 pm PT) !!!!! I tried very hard to make the whole family watch but Sadie and Dawson both lost interest or had better things to do (play with slime and x box)! However, I got the oldies to watch the game! I think I did more screaming while watching the game on TV then I have ever did at a game! Not Really! The guys played really well, just fell short, I was so hurt. I honestly shed a tear or two, no lie! But life goes on!! The next day was the sad day, I'd been waitng for. Filled with saying goodbyes again but it was okay I'd be back in less than a month!!!
The next three weeks were the longest weeks of my life so far!!! Classes ended after a week and a half of being there and it was FINAL EXAM time!!! This semster was probably the easiest classes I will ever have but the hardest for other reasons. I did it! I made it thru! I am so pleased finals are over, I'm back home and I finally get to relax. Even during Thanksgiving break I was writing papers and doing projects! But now, I'm free!!! Helllooo Vacation! Christmas is here and Mexico is around the corner! Then the entire family can relax, dad will be off the clock for work and mom won't be the super mom, they both can relax!!!
A little study break with the girls!!! We went for a "hike", it was gorgeous and a well needed break!!!! Throughout the past week there were many late nites, and I have been sleep deprived hilarious! Fun fact: When I don't get my sleep I am a very slap happy person! At one point I'm running down the street at midnight like super woman making random sounds as well as snorting in public! Ohh I'm a blast! If you haven't seen me in that mood you are missing out! Im halarious, life of the party! ;) During this week I Facetimed mom many times and even got her experiencig my funny moments. When I was in my weird funny moods, she would die of laughter!
Now that my brain can finally relax, I have been able to reflect over the past semster! This semster has gone down in the books for sure! I have officially completed my first semster of college, now only 7 more! I do not regret choosing the University of Arizona. I had a lot, I mean a lottttt of hesitation for a variety of reasons but I am really happy down in the Dirty T! I have learned a lot about myself in this first semester and I'm excited to see what more is in store for me! I have definitely made some mistakes this semester, I'm going to be honest. However, these mistakes I've made, made me realize some things! I need to number one- take care of myself first, naturally I just want to be everyone's best friend and will bend over backwards for everyone no matter. This has killed me this semster both physically and emotinally. Next semester I'm going to focus more on me and my time...what will benefit my health both physically and emotionally. And I can continue to do for me in order to be successful in the future! Over this semester I have developed friendships that I am forever thankful for!!! I've had many many laughs and many stomach cramps from laughing!
I hope all is going well for you guys! Hopefully I see most of you this break!!
Miss you all and love you!
